The field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) is the place to be in for those who love electrical systems ranging from heavy power generators to the smallest of micro-chips. This department infuses the design, manufacture, installation, operation and management of electrical systems that strengthen modern economies and contribute to improving the quality of life. The EEE department at NIT prepares students in this field using new-age information and computer intensive technologies.
The B.E. (E.E.E.) degree program is designed to achieve a balance between depth of knowledge acquired through specialization and breadth of knowledge gained through exploration.
EEE is a Core Branch of Engineering Study that creates interest and provides right perception and insight into Fundamentals.
EEE Branch opens up excellent scope for New Avenues for adaptation and thus enables pursuit of hi-tech specialization.
Books that change you, even later in life, give you a kind of electrical shock as the world takes a different shape.
Scope of EEE
EEE has got large number of opportunities especially in PSUs like BHEL, NTPC, Power Grid, IOCL, SAIL, ONGC, GAIL, EIL etc where packages start around the range of 7-10 lakhs and electricity boards of different states, power plants, and other private companies in steel and power generation business.
Graduates in Electronics Engineering have opportunities in Government and private companies for installation, operation and maintenance of electronics equipments and systems.
Defence, space and other large research organisations employ electronics engineers in design and development of complex devices and systems for signal processing and telecommunication.
Industries involved in design and fabrication of devices, integrated circuits, embedded systems, electronic equipments etc have also provide large scale placements for engineers with this specilisation. Installation and maintenance of electronic equipments used for health care in hospitals, equipments & systems for instrumentation and control in process industries automation systems of assembly line in production industries, etc are also handled by electronics engineers
